Tina Somerville is a multi-passionate visual artist, Illustrator + Graphic Designer with a penchant for communication, food + Nature.

Tina is a Senior Graphic Designer working as an integrated designer within visualisation teams, marketing departments, consumer engagement & brand experience teams, as well as the corporate business world. To complement these skills Tina is also experienced in the visual arts, surface pattern design, hand-drawn/digital illustration, digital marketing, account management. That’s over 20 years experience with all these skills combined.

Graduating from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts Tina, travelled and lived in various countries around the world for 10 years before returning to New Zealand in 2015 to further obtain a Diploma in Graphic Design. Tina’s career spans New Zealand, France, Holland, England and Australia. Now settled permanantly in Auckland, New Zealand.

One of Tina’s passions is food; she spent hours in the kitchen as a child with her Oma (Grandma). Tina worked in a kitchen while studying at art school. Then lived and worked in France at a Chateau catering for 30 guests each week while taking them on art tours and workshops in the countryside and serving picnics in crumbling down old churches. Tina lived in Melbourne for six years and was inspired by all the amazing eateries and passionate foodies. Because Tina loves to experiment and share food so much she turned her love of food and art into The Food Artist.
